Natural Stone Warranty

Due to the characteristics of natural stone, there is no warranty available on all natural stones: granite, quartzite, dolomite, marble, limestone, soapstone, sandstone, slate, onyx and travertine.

Natural stones vary in color, pattern, and density. We always encourage and allow fabricator’s/manufacturer’s customers (end-user) to view and approve their specific slabs before fabrication. Premier Granite and Stone LLC makes no warranty of any differences between samples and the installed stone.

Your granite countertops were sealed after the installation and this should be considered a temporary barrier, allowing time to wipe up spills before they can cause stains. All natural stone is porous and must be sealed. Some stones are more porous than others. This is not a defect of the stone – it is a natural characteristic. Softer or more porous stones may need to be sealed as often as every six months whereas some denser/less porous granite varieties last 15 years or more depending on the natural characteristics and daily use.

After the installation of the counters, the purchaser/the end-user must maintain the countertops. Improper care such as surface staining or etching, heavy impact on the countertops, leaving acidic or aggressive chemicals or any liquid in contact with the material for any period of time, surface chipping and scratching caused by negligence and abuse, or failure by the customer to exercise reasonable care in using the product are not covered after the installation.

Any damage, i.e. by vandalism, accidental impact, excessive stress or load placed on the stone (which could result in damage to the granite), fire, acts of God, or other circumstances not related to the material or installation such as dropping a heavy object on the countertop or standing on the countertop, resulting after proper installation of an acceptable product will be assumed to have occurred through no fault of Premier Granite and Stone LLC. Therefore, Premier Granite and Stone LLC would like to clearly inform you that there is no warranty for natural stones.
